Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for The Montgomery County Hospital District in celebration of the opening of their new EMS station on Thursday, December 15th. Station 41 will provide emergency and non-emergency ambulance transport to the citizens and visitors of the Pinehurst area.
Montgomery County Hospital District has lowered the tax rate for the past 14 years. In 2003 the rate was 13.78 cents per $100 valuation and the 2017 rate is 6.65 cents per $100 valuation or a decrease in tax rate of 51.7%. MCHD dropped the average billed charge on Oct. 1, 2016 by 48.6%. In 2013, MCHD was officially recognized as the best Emergency Medical Service provider in the state by the Texas Department of Health. MCHD Emergency Medical Service has ranked #1 in the nation for customer service for the second year in a row. Their new station is at 12527 Patridge Circle, Pinehurst, Texas, 77362.
